Mathias Frodin is a VFX compositor and designer, specializing in feature films. He has worked in the entertainment industry for over 12 years, successfully completed work on more then 60 features and about a dozen commercials and music videos. A few of the most recent and recognized titles includes "Superman, Man of Steel", "300, The rise of an empire", "MIB3", "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo", "Captain America, The First Avenger", "Pirates of the Caribbean 2, 3 & 4" to mention a few…

Mathias has worked on locations, on green & blue screens, directed music videos, designed motion graphics, smart phone- and monitor-inserts, advertising, logos, car illustrations for BMW, Rover and Volvo, but most of his time has been spent in-house doing post production for films.
Over the years, Mathias has been invited to present and speak in Europe and the US about VFX and his journey from being a "Director of Operations" in the event business, to working in the financial field in Stockholm and London, and finally making his way back to Hollywood and the world of VFX.
With a Master in Computer Arts from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, he graduated with honors in 2001 and also won the first prize at the Academy spring show for his compositing thesis. His project caught the attention of Warner Brothers who recruited him to LA. Since then he has worked at DD, Metrolight Studios, CIS Hollywood, Teamworks Digital and Method Studios.
Mathias also has a Bachelor in Technical Illustration from University of Malardalen, Sweden.
